I do not pretend to know what types of switching you will actually need for your system but I just remembered a technique that can eliminate problems caused by the body diode in a FET. The idea is to connect two FETs in series such that they are wired either Drain to Drain or Source to Source. This can be a very effective switch that cuts off completely except for the reverse leakage current of the body diode and the off FETs is very low. This technique does require more careful selection of the gate drive voltage so as to full enhance both FETs.
