Yes, I would also be confused by "pound" and instead have expected to hear "number sign" or "hash". Just as Maarten notes, I would be able to deduce that I can ignore 0..9 and * leaving # as only remaining choice available on "normal" button phones.
But then, english isn't my native language. But # as a number sign should be applicable in most languages, while I expect a lot of people would look for a £ when asked to press "pound". |
