That's the fundamental flaw with this arrangement: RS232 is specifically designed for a single point-to-point link - it is not a bus!

If you really must stick with RS232, you could use transceivers with an output enable, and devise a protocol which ensures that only 1 device can ever "talk" at a time.

The 8051's 9-bit "Multiprocessor" mode is ideal for this kind of thing...
