A gated oscillator using the 555 timer. This utilizes every aspect of the 555 timer. So if you have a DC blocking circuit, but still want the level, one can AM the DC level and keep the cycles in sync with a triggerable source using the 555. Of course, you're limited to a maximum of about 1MHz or so. |
