Such as the gold in the CPUs and sockets? This is not at all what I was suggesting. What I was thinking was that you could look at the various equipment and sub assemblies and determine what things may be "sellable". For example if there were tubes or sets of new parts they may be able to be sold. Say there were 14 82C55's in a set. You could list these as an auction on eBay to sell them. Someone may just be excited to get 14 parts like this for say $20. If you disassembled some of the equipment maybe you would find a mag card reader. That could be sold on eBay at some price if it was in good shape. Say you found a group of six LCD displays that were character mode 20x2 displays that were all the same. You could list these for sale on eBay at some cheap price and generate some cash flow from that. The list goes on based on what all you have and what you can be willing to part with. One key to this is that you'll have to offer the stuff cheap enough to entice buyers to buy your stuff over the other auctions you see on eBay. Some quick searches will help you get a calibrated idea of what kind of sell prices may be applicable. There is one thing about eBay that you'll have to check into. There may be certain qualifications necessary to become a seller on eBay (age may be one of them) and so you may need to solicit the help of someone to setup the seller account. Michael Karas |
