#177434 - Need to specify your need . . . Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You really need to specify more details of exactly what you need. There are just two many types and configurations available. Do you need character type or graphic type?
Since you say that the device must still be in production it implies that you wanted to use the display in something you want to make multiple copies of. In this case you really should be investigating sourcing and pricing through manufacturers and/or distributors. Anybody setting out to do production of a product should line up strategies for sources of supply, pricing and inventories as part of a business strategy plan. This should resolve issues related to parts that are rare in your area. In reading how you are asking about advice for displays it really seems that you are searching for something to experiment with. It also seems that you want to keep the cash outlay for this experimentation to the lowest level possible. Since I suspect that this is the actual case then you should really do a lot of looking around on the internet. There is lots and lots of information available to be had simply by using Google or Bing. You may want to consider seeing if you can get your hands on some old used cell phones or other gadgets. These often have LCD display modules inside that you may be able to reuse for an experimental purpose. Also look to see if you can find a surplus electronics outlet. Michael Karas |
