#176951 - One ARM may be.. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
One ARM of the type I talk about is the TI AM1808. This part has an on-board multi-channel audio serial port that can be used to interface to any of a variety of audio codec type devices.
Another choice may be the Atmel AT91SAM9G45. This part has an on-board AC97 controller that can talk to a AC97 compatible audio codec nearby on the circuit board. Both of these parts support the larger memory spaces and supporting DMA controller technology to nake handling high bandwidth raw audio streams feasible. Michael Karas |
