I think OSETI died a bit of a death due to lack of funding and all the rest of it.It seems to me looking at it from the outside a frustrating type of research to be involved in.We can possibly revitalise it with this deveopment work.
On the plus side it has lead to me developing something in my spare time which has potential commercial value and the oseti project is only one possible application Steve is working on the front end which bolts on to the timing capture system which I have developed, so my role has changed into developing the firmware and the firmware interface to the outside world and developing the timing capture hardware so it can handle extremely high flux with extremely high timing resolution. It just means now I have eevn less spare time than I did and I work from design notes which have jam on them. |
