#175075 - Folks I talked to...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Ralph, the folks I talked to again are setting up a central PC with Windows Media Center on it. They then stream video to the various PCs on the network via the Ethernet.

In the looking that I've done so far reveals a lot of available adapters to take USB from a PC and covert it to HDMI for computer display on an HD TV. However that is just the opposite of what you are trying to do.

A computer that has an available slot could accept an HDMI capture board (there are a lot of those sold). Supposedly such a board in a desktop can support streaming right to the display of the computer. I'm not up on what software is necessary to achieve this. I suspect that most capture boards natively come with software to save the captured stream to a file on the computer.
