Come times Gant or Pert charts can help communicate to your boss what is involved and how many resources are needed and how long it will estimate to finish.
My experience of this is that I also need to "communicate to my boss" that I can not evaluate the time a particular task takes with great precision, BUT I can evaluate the time particular tasks takes so that they average out and the time for the total project comes out quite close. anyone with similar or different experience?
