It is to be used for low-cost home security - indoor type. Stack-ability is used to increase the range.
The idea behind muxing is that, IR gets dispersed, and the next guy would read true even if it is blocked, which might require some level sensing to differentiate. Please comment. As far as human-filtering is concerned, common method uses 2 vertical beams spaced 15-18 cms apart, and breakage of 2 beams reports a human intrusion. But then I have read about a method of fixing the parellel bars at an angle to ground and detecting the breaking pattern. Regards, Raj Nambiar |
