#171555 - Control Panel UL rating |
I have a requirement to supply two numbers of a floor standing PC panel to USA(Denver). This panel will house a PC running LabVIEW control application and the bottom half will have a few control switchgear( 480V) The field interface is through isolated PCI multifunction cards.
The client simply says that the panel is to be UL rated. OK I have managed to use all electrical parts / switchgears / sockets that have UL rating. The panel itself is from Rittal / Germany ( it does not have UL seal though ). The question is : Just because I have used all components UL rated, will it pass the UL508 criteria ? I have read the UL home page but I am afraid I am not clear. Can some one spell what it takes to get a panel UL rated ? Thanks Raghu |
