#169000 - So the QUESTION is .... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Andy, Thanks for your keen interest in my problem.
In my first post I wrote: Now the problem is: as I go through the datasheets of all such I2C serial memories there is a memory reset in that of AT24C02 which is not present in others. All 24C02 s' are pin to pin replaceable, and as I have decided to use it for a relatively slow SCL (100 KHz), any 24C02 can be substituted. Is memory reset an utter requirement in bus master's firmware? I want my code should be such that any 24C02 of any manufacturer can be substituted without hesitation. Bus timings creat no problem. Only Memory Reset makes the difference between Atmel and other manufacturers. The QUESTION is: If I keep I2CRESET routine in the code (as I want!), is there any problem with non-Atmel 24C02 ? |
