The datasheet exactly tells:
MEMORY RESET: After an interruption in protocol, power loss or system reset, any 2-wire part can be reset by following these steps:
1. Clock up to 9 cycles.
2. Look for SDA high in each cycle while SCL is high.
3. Create a start condition as SDA is high.

Another Datasheet AT24C02B tells:
2-Wire Software Reset: After an interruption in protocol, power loss or system reset, any 2-wire part can be reset by following these steps: (a) Create a start bit condition, (b) clock 9 cycles, (c)create another start bit followed by stop bit condition as shown below. The device is ready fornext communication after above steps have been completed.
