#166218 - ESD Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Membrane is good for common application, here problem is ESD (electrostatic dissipative) characteristic - resistance must be < 10^9 ohms (specifically).
I asked our supplyer in China, he is still not answering - he is waiting answer from material supplyer... Other possibility (as in ATEX related standard) is to minimize non-conductive external surface below 100 sq.sm . But if 10x10 cm is maybe enough for 30 keys keyboard, it will be additional problem with transparent cover for LCD - which is additional 80..90 sq.cm. Here alternatives are glass (shock resistant, bulletproof maybe) and ESD plastic. Yet another problem... regards |
