I'm searching for ideas about keypad (30 keys) for hazardous area (zone2 ,ATEX) - application is weigh indicator , place - gas(propane) station.
Any ideas are welcome. regards Hi, There are plenty of pushbuttons for use in mines etc but , the size is a constraint as you say 30 which would make the control box ugly . Did you think about using membrane keypads these are fire retardant I had trials on these and are good . You may ask the manufacturer to provide more layers as safety measure and then you can seal this keypad with mechanical arrangements on your box this would provide you good media isolation. And ofcourse send it to the lab for approval . -Ap Oh ; yes you did consider membrane keypads , I just see now.Anyways |
