#157500 - Amnesia ( =loss of memory)
This is a very non-technical posting ! Best discussed when sitting with friends and hence posted here.

I do not do MCU coding as part of my profession or even as a hobby on a daily basis. It is need based and if I want the support of the MCU for one of hydraulic test stands, then I do the coding and I simply love it.

BUT - I have a serious problem remembering all the various registers, and thier EXACT functions. Like if I have to configure a UART, i "generally" remember and know what to do but have to resort to the manual for specifics. Fortunately with a Silabs chip I have the config wizard and I get over it rather easily.

Question: Is the above normal or do I need to start treatment for long term memory loss ? ;-((

I know some guys who can reel out such details even when woke up from sleep.

Just curious to know what is the general trend ??

Have a nice week end !

Raghu
