Windows will often be able to autodetect new hardware and request new drivers to be installed in case of a disk cloning.
Sometimes it may be good to use a free tool such as GParted that has the ability to boot from the CD and then mount and modify a FAT32 or NTFS partition. Per; I know nothing about Linux , I am using WindowsXP ? Also Gparted is 140.28 MB? ADSL will take good time . If you are sure it would copy my entire content from P4 to Duocore-2.6GHz based system I shall then take the effort to download it. I require my entire OS + WindowsXP & updates + Norton Antivirus& updates to be tranfetted to the new system. |
