#154413 - Clarification on choosing Hfe
hi,
I am using ZTX450 to drive my 0.3A/12VDC Motor.
Iam confused with choosing the Hfe value to drive the Motor.

Please refer the ZTX450 datasheet given in the link below.

http://www.8052.com/users/Suresh/ztx450.pdf

In electrical charactesistics it shows Hfe decreases for increase in collector current -> Hfe = 15 for IC = 1A.

-How does it decrease with increase in Ic?

Secondly, in Hfe Vs Ic graph(Page2) Hfe for 1A is shown as 64 (approximately) which is not the same as in Electrical characteristics?

-How should i select the gain(Hfe) to drive 0.3A Motor.

Looking forward for your replies.

Thanking You,

Suresh.
