use an internal watchdog and a chip with a 'reset cause' SFR such as the SILabs f12x RSTSRC SFR (table 13.2 in the datasheet).
That would tell the tale. Other chips (e.g. some NXP) have a similar feature. I see no way to separate the two but using an internal puppy (and external reset supervisor). Erik |
