He'd probably have a representative sample, then. When he finishes, he'll have WAY more information than will be useful, and some will undoubtedly be contradictory. It's not an easy thing to test such characteristics. If he decides why he needs to know the ESR and how it will impact circuit performance, he might find it easier to test for that characteristic (heating, for example) rather than ESR.
Once he's built a test fixture, he can easily automate the test. It's the fixture that's the crux! RE |
