#152507 - Liberal media / Divide and conquer Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It’s just the media trying to force their narrow and slanted view of what’s correct (If they repeat it enough people will start to believe it).
Most of the Black people I know prefer Black rather then African-American. I personally don’t like being called African-American because it’s divisive separatism no matter how you try to view it. On one hand people might use it as some type of elitist view (being more then an American) but on the other hand it can be a way of sub-classifying a person’s American citizenship. The latter is why I don’t like it. Why should my citizenship status require a hyphen? My family tree possible traces back in America as far if not farther then a lot of people with Ancestry from Europe yet the media thinks I need a hyphenated American status. |
