#146817 - TCP/IP problems
Responding to: ???'s previous message
A few random ideas that I'd try to start off with.

1. Check the IP address that you've currently been assigned. This should be in the properties of your network taskbar icon. What you're describing can happen if, for some reason, a DHCP server didn't assign you an IP address.

2. Make sure your DNS server is valid and responding to pings. Try going to an IP address in Firefox/IE instead of a domain name. When it fails, try going to http://69.41.174.64/ . That should take you to 8052.com. If you can't get to 8052.com but you can get to http://69.41.174.64/ then you have a DNS server problem.

3. Try disabling the firewall and, maybe, the antivirus--at least long enough to see if that's the problem. The firewall especially can be a problem if it's acting up.

Regards,
Craig Steiner
