I believe these were for connecting Apple MacIntosh (using DA15 connectors) computers to PC monitors (which used DE15 connectors), and the reverse.
Aside from the PC, these might serve, since there were 16-pin (8x2) IDC sockets and headers that allowed a ribbon cable to be connected to a DA15 (of which there are IDC versions) connector of either gender. RE |
