#144757 - Its bad in here Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I had my BSc from uk, and I was helping many final year students from all nationalities with their project even when I was a first year. Not everyone is bright enough to do practical work or to think systemically.
But the situation in Jordan is a nightmere, we have specialized workshops that make living out of making final year student projects, they even write their reports! The funny thing is that a guy won the best project of the year at one private university in Jordan and I knew the guy and the workshop who made it for him. I started laughing when the dean of the university told me look how bright my students are! I told him the truth but he didn't do anything. I know many good students who do good projects on their own in here, but it is sad that no punishment system for bad students or for workshops who do the projects for students. Saudi Arabia and gulf students are notorious for this sort of thing. I was surprised in 1998 when I had a training course in the usa that a saudi student knocked at my door and asked me to do his homework for him. I told him to bugger off and do his homework on his own. I don't know really if it is a culture thing. Maybe people in cold countries are more intiligent than people in hot countries for the heat tends to kill brain cells especially when people are extremely rich and they can afford anything. Mahmood |
