reading locked code is either helping you get out of a mess you stupidly got yourself in i.e. no lesson learned or helping you with outright theft which is punishable by law.

Anyhow an added comment. I was contracted to recoup code from an unlocked uC by the owner when the factory burned and they stupidly did not have offsite backup. After fighting with disassembly for weeks i realized that creating the project from scratch is way faster than trying to recreate from disassembly.

advice to Erwin if you are about to illegally make straight copies of the code STOP. If you have a legal reason. the legal way (starting from scratch) is faster.
