By that, I mean since Stefan's objective is to be able to browse, which he currently can't, via his office PC, despite the fact he has no dialup account to provide a TCP/IP connection, this offers a hope.
It's true, the repaint of the window might be a mite slow, but PCAnywhere does take into account that repaints are slow and tries to minimize the impact. In light of the fact that dialup modems are very slow, and computers are very fast, I doubt it will have as much impact as might be feared, as compared with a dialup TCP/IP connection. Stefan COULD, I suppose, run a server on his machine at work. I doubt it's worth the effort, though, and his employer probably wouldn't like it. RE |
