#135133 - I am not surprised...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
... but wasn't that you who have seen a latched-up micro not responding to reset at all? OK, you call for action - the WD should cycle power. What it it won't respond to power cycle, being permanently damaged, what then? Of course there still remains action to be taken - the WD might flash the red light, scream, dial the serviceman, short out the power until the fuses blow etc. - but that's maybe a little far-fetched for a little cute puppy one usually uses together with a '51 (we can talk about a herd of bulldogs or maybe wolves for your case... :-) )

But, I add up your - certainly valid - comments to my paranoia list.

FYI, for WDs, I have already established for myself a paranoia-level indicator, from P0 (no WD or whatever) till P10 (fully redundant system as seen on NASA-funded rockets :-) ). Your claims now qualify to around P8... :-)))
