This refer to the 'good' implementations' of the internal dog, not some crummier ones.
1) it cost nothing.
2) it requires two specific values to be fed to it to be happy.
3) it will tell you after a WD reset that this was why, which allow you to log it. I love the fact that when you get a report "it burped" you can (if you took the time to code it fully) actually see if a WD reset happened.
