While back (before the war) as a kid I've used to build model rockets (small kits R-3 and R-4 designations here) with solid state fuel motors for one go only (disposable). They had a nice parachute and a broken fins every now and then. If crafted with precision they could even fly without spinning :)
I'm more interested in rocket that can be reused or at least can land without crash (or gone missing) since I'd like to be able to mount equipment I'd like to have back after the flight. And it costs a little more than a few pounds :( I mean, to achieve a height of old R-3 I can do with baloon that I can 'land' :) Or am I wrong? Best luck, CN |
