Many IC manufacturers use assembly subcontractors to make the packages. These assembly houses will use the same plastic molds to make packages for many different IC manufacturers.
It is possible to put your name on the mold, but that is an expensive undertaking for all but the largest IC manufacturers. You would need very large volumes (>100M?) to make it economical. |
