#124154 - Be specific ... or at least, more so ...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I know several well-qualified single and currently unemployed EE's with years of experience in both hardware and software design, testing, etc. Further, these guys wouldn't mind seeing what rain looks like. It's not rained very much here in the past three years.

These guys would take a job just to have the change of venue and do something different. They'd have to know what the ratio of salary to living expenses would be, though, and they'd probably need to know something about the availability housing and cost of groceries, utilities, etc. is.

If I were 20 years younger I'd certainly consider something like that. With a reasonable salary, one should be able to do an occasional weekend on the continent and thereby avoid starving. (I've heard that there's no worse food available in any developed part of the world than in Britain.) When I was last there, we ate in Germany, then flew to London from time to time for a play, then flew back, so we never had to eat there.
