I've noted, over time, that there are many posts that seem to get only one entry from the original poster (O/P). I'm guessing that one contributing factor is that they're expecting a "live" chat session on this segment of the site, which is really not what's available. Once posted, a mesage produces some discussion, but it isn't what the O/P expected, and he possibly wasn't interested enough in the subject to motivate returning later. I think a bit of clarification on the main page might be warranted.

Maybe the name of this section should be modified to reflect that it's a static message board for "slightly-off-topic" or maybe "slightly-off-center" subjects rather than the 805x-only stuff on the main message board, and is not a live-chat facility.

Perhaps a bit of "spiritual guidance" with respect to such things as naming the thread (not just what NOT to name it) in order to make its central subject recognizable in a search, would be helpful, too.

Any thoughts?
