In Revelations, 666 is the number of a man, NOT a date, time, or anything else. What's all the fuss?

While on the subject of numbers, I'll point out that it's another area where people get really squirrelly. I've lost track of the number of people who, when I tell them to pick 1-2-3-4-5-6 for the lottery, say "That'll never win!" Do the math--it has exactly the same chance of winning as any other six numbers.

But as long as we're getting goofy with numbers, my favorite mathematician joke is: "Two plus two equals five--for sufficiently large values of two."
