anyway one alarming end of the entire universe idea is if when they turn on the lastest of these super colliders and recreate the sort of energies that were present at the first couple of seconds after the big bang then it triggers a spontanious phase change in the space-time thingy as happend when the strong and weak nuclear forces decoupled from each other and you get an unstoppable phase change rather like you do in a super-cooled liquid when it suddenly changes from a liquid into a solid.
the only good news is that if it is possible to trigger such a phase change then someone else on the planet zark^mmnigo would have done it before now
