Erik, I'm still using my trusty Tektronix 2465 and there's a healthy market for these and even the older 465's. Just check out Ebay! Whilst I (and others) would like a nice new LCD based 'scope, the cost of >$10k for something with enough frequency response and memory depth has discouraged me thus far.
As for the number of people still using core memory (apart from the military and aero) - well, they'd want to have a real good reason. The >1uS cycle time doesn't sit well with pentium4s! |
