If iam right, i think it is the Thermal EMF that would get developed accross the contacts when the contacts experince a differnce in temperature.
I suspect this temperature difference could be due to the heat developed accross the coil that drives the switch, or from the surroundings.
and i came to know it could be around 40uV/deg celcius for most reed switches!

Can i get your suggestions on this issue thereby finding suitable ways to overcome it?
