#102977 - soil dampness
I saw the automatic sprinklers coming on after a rain and realized "this is stupid".

Does anyone have idea(s) about "cheap" means of sensing soil deampness?

I am thinking an occasionally heated theremistor measured before and a certain time after heating. I guess that would work. Anyhow - no ideas, please, if you have a good one, share it.
