Apparently, nobody has complained to Actel about their use of an ancient version of sdcc. And since nobody has complained, they see no reason to update it.
I'm pretty sure that I'm the only person using the Actel Core8051S. They are hateful. The thing is, their SmartFusion FPGAs look pretty useful, with a Cortex hard core, lots (as in 64 kBYTES) of flash, ADC and DAC for housekeeping functions, etc. But I'm not sure I want to consider their devices for another design. -a |
