is it possible to pull 8051s from discarded electronics, and repurpose them?
a '51 in "discarded electronics" will usually be mask programmed. To use such a '51 you will need an external eprom which, typically, will cost you more than an ISP programmable '51. also to program the external eprom you will need a programmer, with a new chip you just use ISP. Erik |
