#182368 - an answer in the form of an anecdote
Responding to: ???'s previous message
It worked in one of my 5 ICS..Probelm seems to be in my ICs
A company I worked for long ago had succesfully shipped thousands of units without problems. then some day problems started appearing, a given unit would fail about once evey other day. An extremely qualified engineer and yours truly was tasked with finding out why. It turned out to be a design problem a given chip that, in the previous batch from the supplier happened to be close to min for some value, in the present batch was close to max but still within the range on the datasheet. We hunted down the design "engineer" (note the quotes) and it turned out he had designed to 'typical' values.
another: I recall a post long ago "I have been overclocking (running the uC at a higher frequency that the max in the datasheet) succesfully for a long time, now it does not work, why not".
