Again, there is no point in worrying about the specifics of the Nitgen module before you have reliable serial comms working.

In fact, concentrating too early on the specifics of the Nitgen module is likely to leave you with serial comms that work only for this one specific case - and nothing else.

Serial comms really is such a foundational thing that you really need to get it thoroughly nailed from the beginning!
