Well, it appears as if the synthesis tool tells me that it generates a ROM for the usual construct, but the Actel ProASIC3L architecture doesn't support initializing RAMs at start-up to look like ROMs. Did I mention that the design needs to be rad-tolerant and if I can eliminate an expensive external (to the FPGA) flash, I'll be a happy camper? -a |
