#180828 - link checked and other queries
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi, yes i checked the link and it was quite helpful although I still have a few small queries which dont seem to be in that book...

within the SCON register SM0 and FE (framing error) bit share the shame bit within the byte and I have to set SM0 to define the type of serial mode I am using. Therefore how is it possible to check for framing errors?

should I set SM2 when sending an address and disable when sending data or should I set TB8 when transmitting an address and clear TB8 when sending data? i.e so the 9th bit indicates whether an address or data is being transmitted

I appreciate the help Guys, it has been very useful
