QQ1: which transcievers do you use

We are using the internal Serial port of the 8052, both in master as well as slaves, and not using any transceivers.


QQ2: how far can the slaves be from the master

The master card and all the slave cards are connected to motherboard with euro connectors, and the whole system is a rack-type one with a total width of 1.5 feet. The system is connected with a common power supply. The master card takes care of the common hardware reset.

Each slave address is identified by the physical placement of the slave in the slot.
