NXP, Kemet, and others that have special packing codes at the end of part numbers should make that information readily available, but they don't. You have to dig to find that the code means T&R (for example), and then dig somewhere else to figure out how many are supposed to be on the reel. It drives me nuts when QA kicks a part number back to me because it's not on the AML, and then I can't get clear documentation from the vendor as to the magic number appended to the part number. I guess this is the curse of big companies that have so many employees that are totally disconnected from the needs of their customers. </rant off> |
