There is also the distinct possibility that the OP built a circuit with multiple devices where one can be read and the other chip could undergo a programming operation. On top of all that there are FLASH types with certain special type boot blocks that can be enabled to support some types of non main stream operation. If the OP had really gone to the trouble of selecting appopriate chips, and carefully designing the circuit for programming, wouldn't he have thought to mention that...? ;-) |
