because they are using the FTDI driver, which is one reason why I recommend their product.
The other reason is availability. I agree, if Aten adds a serial number to their product the COM port number problem will go away. I stand partially corrected, some (probably spurious) Bafo modules have enumerated as HID. I could have suggested FTDI, Prolific or such other but they are not easily available in India. And buying from Farnell etc small qty is still costly in India. |
