#176153 - Some answers
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Morgan! Welcome to the forum.

The kit has internal voltage regulator, so an overvoltage over the chip is quite unlickly. On the left column there are "Tutorial" an "FAQs", with plenty of information about languages, etc.

A quick check of MAX232 could be measure pin2 (around 10V) and pin 6 (around -10V).Anyway, it has socket and is a subdollar IC. Change it!

Good luck

Daniel
