The problem of relating physical location to device-ID has been discussed here before; The Maxim/Dallas address discovery algorithm lets you determine the "identities" of the devices - but not their physical locations. There is now a variant of the DS18B20 1-Wire sensor which incorporates additional facilities for identifying physical location. I forget the part number - see the Maxim website... |
